    LSU LBTC, LSBDC TO HOST WORKSHOP FOR ENTREPRENEURS

    BATON ROUGE- The LSU Louisiana Business & Technology Center and the Louisiana Small Business Development Center will host “Human Resources & Labor/Employment Guidance for Emerging Entrepreneurs.” an event scheduled to be held Thursday, February 16, from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the LBTC, located at 8000 G.S.R.I. Ave., Building 3000. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m.

    The workshop will be presented by Frederick Preis, a senior partner of the Lemle & Kelleher law firm where he is head of the Labor and Employment Law Section. Topics for the workshop include the following:

    • What is human resource management?
    • Hiring productive and cooperative employees
    • Employee performance management
    • Typical significant legal issues for start-up businesses

     
    Seating is limited for this event, and pre-registration is required. The registration fee for the workshop is $25, which includes a continental breakfast.
