BATON ROUGE - Van R. Mayhall, a 2005 LSU Flores MBA alumnus and partner in the Baton Rouge law office of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson LLP, has been named as a “Rising Star” in the area of Corporate Governance & Compliance in the 2012 edition of Louisiana Super Lawyers magazine.

This honor recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state who are 40 years old or younger, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less.

Prior to earning his M.B.A., Mayhall received a law degree from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law School in 2001, and was admitted to practice law in Louisiana state courts; eastern, middle and western districts of Louisiana and in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He practices in the areas of business and corporate law and insurance regulatory law and is the author of the Insurance Regulatory Law blog, which includes discussion, news, information and commentary on insurance regulatory law, issues related to state and federal insurance regulation.
