Sanger joined the LSU faculty in August 1985. Prior joining
LSU he was assistant professor of finance at The Ohio
State University. He graduated with honors from Purdue
University in 1973 with a BSIM in Business Administration,
and earned his Ph.D. in Finance in 1980, from Purdue University.
Sanger also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
designation. He is currently Associate Dean for Academic
Programs, and is the Marjorie B. Ourso Professor for Academic
Excellence. His research interests are in the areas of
investments and corporate finance, including the structure
and performance of securities markets, asset prices, corporate
governance and initial public offerings.
