Louisiana State University As one of the premier universities in the South, LSU's diverse cultural and scholarly landscape uniquely combines the best facets of academic life. 2007-2008 LSU Catalog The LSU Catalog lists all educational information for both graduate and undergraduate students including course descriptions, faculty members, fee schedules, and general education requirements. Campus Map The LSU online campus map contains hundreds of locations with detailed topography and the ability to zoom in for a closer look. Career Services Career Services helps students of LSU find employment after graduation. Services offered include TigerTrak, a program which helps students coordinate interviews and résumé submissions with potential employers. Centers for Excellence in Learning and Teaching The Center for Assessment and Evaluation at Louisiana State University offers computer based testing for some undergraduate courses. Graduate School The LSU Graduate School web site provides information about admission standards, non-matriculation, and transferring credits. Libraries The LSU Libraries catalog identifies and allows searching of materials in LSU Libraries such as books, newspapers, journals, magazines, government publications, electronic indexes and databases, electronic books, electronic journals, videos, music scores, cassettes, CD-ROMS, maps and other cataloged items. ITS - Help Desk The OCS Help Desk is a resource center for campus computing, containing information about PAWS and Active Directory accounts, campus networking, E-Mail and LISTSERV, campus computer labs, and more. ITS - Public Access Labs The OCS Public Access Labs strive to facilitate student life and learning at LSU through convenient, reliable, state-of-the-art, public access computing resources supported by the LSU Student Technology Fee. PAWS (Personal Access Web Services) Personal Access Web Services (PAWS) is a dynamic electronic kiosk which delivers a suite of applications to the students, faculty, and staff of LSU based on their relationship to the University. Student Aid and Scholarships The Office of Student Aid and Scholarships helps students acquire financial assistance toward the completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree. Several scholarships are also available, based both on need and merit. Undergraduate Admissions The Office of Undergraduate Admissions evaluates both new students as well as transfer students. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions also provides final approval of all undergraduate transfer credit. University College University College is an academic college that offers a collection of programs and services designed to enhance the academic success of all LSU students. The administrative structure of the College includes the Center for Freshman Year, the Center for Advising and Counseling, the Center for Academic Success, Student Support Services, Summer Scholars Program, and Evening School/ Intersession. |
