  • APPLY TO THE FLORES MBA PROGRAM

    ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
    The following minimum admission requirements must be met:

    1. A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution or the equivalent from a foreign institution.

    2. Previous work experience required (3 years for PMBA candidates and 5 years for EMBA candidates).

    3. An acceptable score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).

    4. A minimum grade-point average of 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) on all undergraduate work completed and graduate work completed or attempted.

    5. Acceptance by the LSU Graduate School

    6. Acceptance by the Flores MBA Admissions Committee (Interview will be scheduled after all scores and applications have been submitted).

    7. Additional Requirements for international students

    Applicants are considered for the Fall semester only. The final day to apply online to the LSU Graduate School for Fall 2012 is May 15, 2012. Students applying after May 15, 2012 will be assessed a $25 late application fee and will be evaluated on a rolling basis.

    APPLICATION PROCESS

    1. The online Graduate Admissions Application form.  You can pay the $50 application fee online via credit card or debit card.

    2. One-page professional resume and personal statement.  You can upload your resume and personal statement directly to the Graduate Admissions application.  For the personal statement, please describe the following:

      • Your interest in the Flores MBA program and your specific program choice (full-time, Professional, or Executive).
      • Include short- and long-term professional goals.
      • Be sure to address any specific skill sets you wish to develop and how the Flores MBA Program can contribute to your development in this area (4000 character maximum).

    3. Writing Sample.  We do not require a writing sample for the MBA program; however, please feel free to use this section to describe the following:

      • How unique life experiences might distinguish you from other applicants.
      • How your background, values, and non work-related activities can enhance the experience of the other students and will contribute to the diverse culture we strive for in the Flores MBA Program. (4000 character maximum)

    4. An official transcript of all previous college or university work.

    5. GMAT score (Full-Time Program: 16D-L6-57, Professional MBA or the Executive MBA: 16D-L6-86).

    6. Two letters of recommendation.   Applicants can upload this information directly to the Graduate Admissions application.  Alternatively, candidates can mail their letters to Dr. Edward Watson, LSU Flores MBA Program, 3176 Patrick F. Taylor Hall, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70803.  We ask applicants to submit no more than three recommendation letters.

    7. Financial statement (international students only).

    8. TOEFL scores (international students only). To be considered for admission, international applicants must receive an official TOEFL score of 550 on the paper-based exam, 213 on the computer-based exam, or 79 on the internet-based exam. Please view details of this process on the LSU Graduate School website.

    9. Completed immunization form.
