You will learn to apply modern business management principles to a wide range of decision-making situations, develop the capacity to balance quantitative and qualitative aspects, and become more knowledgeable about the legal and ethical issues that frequently confront business managers.

    BADM 7020 — Managerial Statistics (3) Introduction to statistical thinking and overview of statistical methods used to analyze and interpret data and make strategic decisions.
    BADM 7030 — Understanding Financial Information (3) Understanding the composition of financial statements, financial reporting, and ethical accounting practices.
    BADM 7050 — Information Systems (3) Introduction to information systems analysis and design, businesses data communication, database management systems, knowledge-based systems, enterprise-wide systems, and information systems control .
    BADM 7060 — Elements of Cost Management (3) Understanding and applying cost management practices, cost-profit-volume analysis, variances between budgeted and actual cost, and methods of evaluating responsibility centers based upon profitability measures.
    BADM 7070 — Understanding Behavior in Organizations (3) Understanding individual and contextual determinants of behavior in organizations, managerial tools to influence and direct employee behavior, and managerial applications of behavioral science theories.
    BADM 7090 — Financial Management (3) Understanding investment and financial strategies, the role of capital markets, use of financial data, cash flow projections, and working capital management.
    BADM 7100 — Marketing Administration (3) Introduction to marketing research, product development and management, distribution, demand estimation, market structure analysis, pricing, promotion, advertising, and direct marketing.
    BADM 7120 — Operations Management (3) Understanding operations strategy, process and capacity planning, facilities planning, aggregate planning, materials planning, and quality planning.
    BADM 7140 — Legal Environment of Business (3) Examining the sources of law affecting business, constitutional issues, contracts and sales, torts, products liability, corporations, securities, anti-trust, discrimination, labor relations, environmental and criminal law, impact negotiation strategies, and associated ethical and international issues.
    *BADM 7160 — Negotiation, Persuasion, and Influence (3) Experiential-based course designed to provide managers with the basic concepts and techniques necessary for effective negotiation and conflict resolution in a variety of business contexts.
    BADM 7190 — Managing Sources of Competitive Advantage (3) Capstone course on contemporary approaches to developing and sustaining competitive advantage in the global marketplace.
    BADM 7200 — Economic Environment of the Firm (3) National and global issues that affect the firm; an introduction to theoretical concepts and policy issues associated mainly with macroeconomics and to a lesser degree with managerial economics.
    *BADM 7270 — New Developments in Business Administration (3).
    *BADM 7460 — Business Plan (3) Development of franchising business plan to include marketing, management, financial projections, and operations manual outline.
