The fundamental concepts in finance are risk, return, and value. To do business, a company must face risk. To survive, it must create value for its shareholders. Finance includes the study of corporate financial management, as well as financial markets and institutions and the raising and investing of funds. As a finance student, you will investigate the ways risk, return, and value interact in the business world. All Flores MBA students take BADM 7090, Financial Management. Students who wish to specialize in finance should take FIN 7826, Investment Analysis and Portfolio Theory, in the second semester of the first year. Students can then build their own concentrations.
