  • PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

    Why Professional Practice?
The professional practice experience links your coursework to real world experience. You should be thinking about how to make use of your training in real situations. While doing this, you must maintain an internship report, recording your activities.

    Internship or Practicum?
If you already have a job, we work out a project related to your job. The purpose is to connect what you are studying in the MPA program to your work experience. If you have a job in the public sector, you will enroll in the Practicum.

If you are a student without a job or a job that qualifies for the practicum, the PAI works with the student to acquire an internship. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the student to get the internship. The PAI will provide contacts; let students know about possible internships; and make recommendations.

You do not have to take both the internship and the practicum.
