    Students planning to graduate must complete the following requirements before graduation:

    • Fulfill all degree requirements for selected major;
    • Declare anticipated graduation date via PAWS;
    • Complete senior checkout with an undergraduate advisor (must be done when the student has 30 credit hours remaining on his/her degree audit);
    • Purchase cap and gown from LSU Bookstore (visit LSU's Commencement Web site for more information);
    • Fulfill all financial obligations by the specified date (visit LSU's Commencement Web site for more information);
    • Complete the Graduating Student Survey (will be emailed to all graduating students prior to graduation and must be completed before commencement date).

    Students who complete degree requirements during intersession should plan to graduate in August and must inform the dean's office of this intention. Such students should see a counselor and register in the summer for "degree only."

    Students who have completed courses at another college or university must have an official transcript covering this work on file in the Office of the University Registrar before registering for the degree.

    Students may not graduate with a quality point deficit. Students may not graduate with a C or lower in some courses. Please see your advisor for questions about either of these situations.
