Louisiana Looking Up! 2007

Louisiana Looking Up! 2007 will be held Thursday, September 13, 2007. This annual seminar, sponsored by the Flores MBA Alumni Association-Louisiana Chapter, is celebrating its fourth installment this year and promises an informative afternoon for all in attendance.

The theme of this year’s event is "Celebration of Entrepreneurship in Louisiana," and some well-known entrepreneurs will be participating in the day's activities. Louisiana Looking Up! 2007 will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Lod Cook Alumni Center, located at 3838 West Lakeshore Drive on the campus of LSU.

SET FOR FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14th

The E. J. Ourso College of Business and the Flores MBA Alumni Association invite alumni of the College of Commerce, the College of Business Administration, the E. J. Ourso College, and their guests to join together on Friday, September 14, 2007 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. for an alumni party.

Music, jambalaya, and beverages will be in plentiful supply at the event, which will be held in the North Courtyard of Patrick F. Taylor Hall on the eve of the Tigers match-up with Middle Tennessee State. This is an excellent opportunity to meet with faculty and administrators of the E. J. Ourso College and to network with fellow alumni. There is no charge to attend the event.

FLORES TO SPEAK AS PART OF HOUSTON CHAPTER'S ESS

The LSU Flores MBA Alumni Association-Houston Chapter will continue its Executive Speaker Series with James Flores on Thursday, October 4, 2007.

Flores is the chairman, president, and CEO of Plains Exploration and Production Company, and is the third speaker to address Houston-area MBA alumni in the series since its inception last February.

Plains Exploration will host the group at its conference center in Houston, and the event will take place from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
