FLORES MBAAA - LOUISIANA CHAPTER PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE |
Dear LSU Flores MBA Alumni:
LSU Flores MBA Alumni Association members enjoy numerous opportunities to enhance the value of their MBA experience through professional development, networking, and philanthropy.
Our flagship project, Louisiana Looking Up, is entering its sixth year. This annual event brings together hundreds of local business leaders and alumni to learn about the success and experience of notable entrepreneurs from across the state. Louisiana Looking Up’s recurring theme is aptly titled “Celebration of Entrepreneurship in Louisiana.” Since its inception, over $44,500 has been raised and given to the LSU Flores MBA Program for scholarships for students participating in the program’s international educational trips.
In 2009, we began our first annual professional development series titled, “Spring Training.” This event included presentations from two highly regarded LSU Flores MBA Program faculty. “Spring Training” provided valuable insight with practical applications. The program’s theme this year was “How to Market Yourself in a Down Economy.”
Several times a year, we hold chapter socials that allow fellow alumni to reconnect and learn more about upcoming chapter events. New LSU Flores MBA graduates are invited to join us at these events, which are frequently held soon after their respective graduations.
Our programs are consistent with our mission to support the LSU Flores MBA Program as well as provide educational and networking opportunities for alumni members.
