ACCOUNTING ALUM STARTS CLOTHING COMPANY TO FULFILL NICHE
Marcus Mire, a 2004 graduate of the LSU Department of Accounting and CPA firm owner, along with his wife, Stephanie, and their friends, Rye and Lainey Tuten, recently launched a children’s clothing company called JV Clothiers to fill a void in the boys’ collegiate apparel market.

DEAN'S CIRCLE CONTINUES TO GROW
Despite challenging economic times in 2010, the Dean’s Circle of the E. J. Ourso College of Business grew by 34 percent in participation and generated $176,998 to the Dean’s Excellence Fund.

Van R. Mayhall, a 2005 LSU Flores MBA alumnus and partner in the Baton Rouge law office of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson LLP, has been named as a “Rising Star” in the area of Corporate Governance & Compliance in the 2012 edition of Louisiana Super Lawyers magazine.
