    EVENING PRESENTATIONS

Many employers choose to have an evening presentation the night before their scheduled interview date. Most presentations are held in the LSU Union, the LSU Faculty Club, or the Lod Cook Conference Center and Hotel. All facilities charge a room rental fee. In addition to the room, audiovisual equipment and catering can be arranged. Career Services can only assist in reserving events at the LSU Union. Should you want your presentation at the LSU Faculty Club, you can call Dorothy White at 225-578-2356. Should you want your presentation at Lod Cook, you can call them directly at 866-610-2665. If you choose to hold your event at either of these two locations, please notify the Recruiting Coordinator as soon as you have confirmed the date and time so she can advertise it to students interested in your organization. If you would like to hold your event at the LSU Union, Courtney Edwards will be glad to make these arrangements at least five weeks prior to your interview date.

Suggested Route and Parking at the LSU Union

Take the Dalrymple Drive/LSU exit (156B) from I-10. Both eastbound and westbound traffic will take a right onto Dalrymple Drive from the off-ramp. Continue straight on Dalrymple Drive onto campus. At the Highland Road-Dalrymple Drive intersection, you can obtain a visitor's parking permit from the LSU Visitor Information Center (corner of Highland Road and Dalrymple Drive). They can direct you where to park. If you park on campus before 7:30 p.m. without a parking permit, you will be ticketed. You are encouraged to allow plenty of time for parking; available parking in the evenings is scarce because of the popularity of LSU evening classes.

Suggested Route and Parking at the Faculty Club:

Take the Dalrymple Drive/LSU exit (156B) from I-10. Both eastbound and westbound traffic will take a right onto Dalrymple Drive from the off-ramp. Continue straight on Dalrymple Drive onto campus.

At the Highland Road-Dalrymple Drive intersection, turn left on Highland Road. Turn left at the first light (Raphael Semmes). The Faculty Club is immediately on your left (parking lot behind). You should obtain a visitor’s parking permit from the LSU Visitor Information Center (corner of Highland Road and Dalrymple Drive) before arriving at the Faculty Club.

Suggested Route and Parking at the Lod Cook Conference Center and Hotel:

Take the Dalrymple Drive/LSU exit (156B) from I-10. Both eastbound and westbound traffic will take a right onto Dalrymple Drive from the off-ramp.  Eastbound traffic will go through two (2) stoplights, and westbound traffic will go through three (3) stoplights, the third being State Street. After the State Street light, West Lakeshore Drive is approx. ¼ mile up on the left side. It is immediately across the street from the Sigma Chi fraternity house, and immediately behind the International Cultural Center. Turn left onto West Lakeshore Drive, and the Lod Cook Conference Center and Hotel is approximately ¼ to ½ mile down on the right side, immediately behind the Lod Cook Alumni Center. You may park in the parking lot adjacent to the building without a parking permit, free of charge.
