GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS FOR FLORES MBA STUDENTS
Graduate assistantships provide a unique opportunity for Flores MBA students to engage in the research and outreach activities of the Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute. For more information on general eligibility requirements for paid graduate assistantships, visit http://appl003.lsu.edu/grad/gradschool.nsf/$Content/Assistantships?OpenDocument, located on the LSU Graduate School website. All students accepted to the Flores MBA program are automatically considered for the scholarships awarded through the College of Business. Scholarships are awarded to the top 10-15% of the incoming class based on need and/or prior academic performance.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANTSHIP FOR DOCTORAL STUDENS
The Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute is searching for 1 – 2 exceptional doctoral students to be an integral part of the Institute’s innovative and interdisciplinary academic environment. These highly competitive assistantships provide awarded graduate students with a diverse work environment and multiple research opportunities. We plan to engage students by the Fall semester of 2008.
The Economic Development Assistantship Program provides competitive funding to support first-year doctoral students from a wide range of business or related disciplines including management, economics, public administration, or other applicable disciplines. Economic Development Assistantships carry a stipend ranging from $15,000 - $25,000 for up to four years; the amount depends on academic level attained, academic history, and research experience. Students will be eligible for the tuition exemption program and the health insurance stipend program for fulltime graduate assistants, and students must pay all applicable fees.
FACULTY FELLOWSHIPS
We invite accomplished scholars who wish to do work in the field of entrepreneurship, small business development, innovation and creativity, and other related fields to contact us to discuss funding opportunities. Visits of several weeks or months are encouraged so scholars can contribute fully to SEI research programs and establish collaborative projects with LSU faculty members. Alternatively, fellowships that may be used for release time are available for accomplished LSU faculty members that wish to enhance or develop a focus in entrepreneurship. Applications from non-business faculty members are encouraged in the interest of stimulating interdisciplinary collaborations.
