SUMMARY

Management is a never-ending process. The franchisor needs to be aware of the management functions that go on in both the headquarter's organization as well as the franchisee operation. The franchisor will be responsible for planning, organizing, leadership, and control functions.

The manager must be able to establish the proper vision which can be shared with various franchisees about the opportunities for growth and development. The franchisor should be aware of the headquarter's organization as primarily divided into two major functions:

(1) sales and

(2) operations.

The other staff members in the headquarters organization generally support these two primary areas.

In addition, the franchisor should always seek for high quality and excellence within the organization. Quality is the perception in which the customer has for the product or service being offered. Quality is the number one advertised issue today.
