Deciding on the Type of Franchise 

There are many different types of businesses to choose from. The following is a list of the most common types of businesses found today.

1. Manufacturers - produce goods for individuals or organizations

2. Wholesalers - buy product from the producer and sell to retailers, manufacturers or other larger purchasers

3. Retailers - sell goods or services to the final consumer

Remember that a small business does not necessarily have to have four walls and a roof! Many successful firms today are service oriented and do not actually sell a tangible product.
