    Louisiana Going Global

    Overview:

    The LBTC, C100, and LED have teamed up to provide technical assistance to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in exporting to Latin America. We have chosen to focus on countries in Latin America as it offers the largest potential markets and the greatest potential for international business development because of the size of their populations and the size and growth of their gross national product. In Latin America we are focusing on Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia because they have been identified as the Latin American countries expected to have the most potential for Louisiana companies over the next few years.

    Goals of Program:

    • Increase net exports from Louisiana SMEs to Latin American countries
    • Assist companies in navigating country specific rules and regulations
    • Increase foreign direct investment from Latin American companies to Louisiana
    • Grow Louisiana companies

    No Cost Available Assistance Includes:

    • Training seminars on exporting to Latin America
    • Preparation for exportingto Latin America by focusing on business specific issues
    • Translation services including websites, brochures, and other literature
    • International trade, marketing, and logistics experts to assist in the process
    • Financial asisstance with Gold Key services
