Purpose
The purpose of the LBTC's small business incubator is to create a dynamic environment whereby businesses can focus on product or technology development as well as sales and marketing. The LBTC provides facilities, furnitures and equipment when available, management assistance, administrative assistance and back office support to its tenants.

Ideally located on LSU South campus, the LBTC small business incubator provides office space and a friendly business environment for new business startups. By allowing the incubator to handle administrative details and overhead problems, the tenant companies can concentrate on operations, production, and marketing, three factors that directly affect success. The LBTC has worked with over 4,889 businesses and entrepreneurs developing over 2,335 business plans, starting nearly 474 businesses and creating more than 9,095 jobs for Louisiana.
