		Gabe Tischler, the deputy emergency manager in Searcy County, Ark., has been named a fellow by the LSU Stephenson Disaster Management Institute. [MORE]

		Kim Burgo, the vice-president of the National Disaster Response Office for Catholic Charities USA, has been named a fellow by the LSU Stephenson Disaster Management Institute. Through SDMI’s practitioner fellows program, leading national practitioners are invited to work with the institute for a period of one or two years. According to Thomas Anderson, SDMI Interim Executive Director, this allows the institute’s researchers and staff the opportunity to have the latest thinking and practice as well as the latest detailed understanding of disaster management challenges in operational reality.
