The Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) Begins Trading

The student managed Geaux Fund was founded in the spring of 2005 by a generous grant from the LSU Foundation. The purpose of the fund is to bridge the disconnect between the academic and professional worlds by allowing students hands-on experience in portfolio management. This philosophy reflects the dedication of the E. J. Ourso College of Business in educating students and producing superior professionals.
