Similarly, the Graduate Economics web site of the American Economic Association supplies a wealth of information about graduate study in Economics and how to prepare for graduate work in Economics.
The LSU Department of Economics offers B.S. degrees in Economics and in International Trade and Finance within the E. J. Ourso College of Business, a B.A. degree in Economics through the College of Arts and Sciences, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics. Our courses provide students with an intellectual challenge and strong analytic training, and, as you will learn at the Undergraduate Economics web site of the American Economic Association, salaries of our majors are very competitive. In fact, a recent survey by PayScale.Com shows the median long-run salaries of Economics majors second only to Computer Engineers. The dedication of our faculty to quality teaching is reflected in the number of college- and university-level teaching awards won by our faculty. We recognize outstanding Economics majors annually with formal awards, and sponsor the Economics/ITF Club, Students In Free Enterprise, and Omicron Delta Epsilon, a national honor society in Economics.
