Assistant Professor (Macroeconomics & Monetary Economics/Open Economy Macroeconomics/Tenure-track):
The Department of Economics (http://www.bus.lsu.edu/economics) seeks applicants to fill a appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor (Macroeconomics & Monetary Economics/Open Economy Macroeconomics/Tenure-track) to begin in August 2008. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Economics by August 2008; strong commitment to teaching and research; promising research agenda. Additional Qualifications Desired: Working with DSGE models and/or focusing on open economy macroeconomics, candidates in other macro specialties are welcome to apply. The Department has a strong research orientation and offers B.A., B.S., M.S, and Ph.D. degrees in Economics. An offer of employment is contingent on a satisfactory pre-employment background check. Salary is competitive. Application deadline is November 30, 2007 or until a candidate is selected. Interviews will be held at the ASSA meetings in New Orleans, January 4-6, 2008.
