
The Department of Economics, together with the Division of Economic Development and Forecasting, the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, the Real Estate Research Institute and the Department of Experimental Statistics will host the 6th Annual Advances in Econometrics Conference, November 2-4, 2007, at the Lod and Carole Cook Conference Center on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The focus of the conference includes the theory and application of Bayesian Econometrics.
The conference is a companion to the volume Advances in Econometrics: Bayesian Econometrics (Volume 23, 2008) to be published by Emerald Group Publishing Limited. The purpose of the conference is to bring together authors of papers, a small and highly regarded collection of scholars, for discussion, debate and feedback. The editors of the volume and conference leaders are Siddhartha Chib , Harry C. Hartkopf Professor of Econometrics and Statistics at Washington University in St. Louis, Gary Koop, Professor of Economics at University of Strathclyde School of Business, Bill Griffiths, Professor of Econometrics, University of Melbourne, and Dek Terrell, Freeport-McMoRan Professor of Economics, Louisiana State University.
