7th Annual Advances in Econometrics Conference at LSU

Nonparametric Econometric Methods

The LSU Department of Economics, together with the Division of Economic Development and Forecasting, and the LSU Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness will host the 7th Annual Advances in Econometrics Conference, November 14-16, 2008, at the Lod  and Carole Cook Conference Center on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  The focus of the conference includes the theory and application of Nonparametric Econometric Methods.

The conference is a companion to the volume Advances in Econometrics: Nonparametric Econometric Methods (Volume 25, 2009) to be published by Emerald Group Publishing Limited.  The purpose of the conference is to bring together authors of papers, a small and highly regarded collection of scholars, for discussion, debate and feedback. The editors of the volume and conference leaders are  Jeffrey Racine, Senator William McMaster Chair in Econometrics, McMaster University, and Qi Li, Hugh Roy Cullen Professor in Liberal Arts Econometrics and Nonparametric Statistics, Department of Economics, Texas A&M University.
