As has been widely reported, two of our alumni, Emmet and Toni Stephenson, have pledged $25 million to benefit the University, including $15 million for programs in the E. J. Ourso College of Business. The Stephensons are natives of Louisiana who have been very involved with LSU. . .

The MBA Association's annual golf tournament will be held on Friday, April 27, 2007.

LSU alumni Emmet and Toni Stephenson, formerly of Bastrop, La., have pledged a $25 million gift to LSU, university officials announced today. Their donation will be among the largest gifts ever to the University and accelerates the momentum of the “Forever LSU” campaign

SPNIOSA, SCOTT ROUND OUT SPRING DISTINGUISHED SPEAKER SERIES

J.T.“Tommy” Spinosa and Peggy Scott will visit LSU within a week of each other to wrap-up the Flores MBA Distinguished Speaker Series for this spring semster. Spinosa, owner and manager of JTS, addressed MBAs and guests Friday, March 16, 2007, while Scott, executive vice president of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, will speak Friday, March 23, 2007.

Anca Alecsandru, a doctoral student in the Department of Economics at LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business, has been awarded a grant by the Davidson Data Center and Network to perform data collection from one or more countries with transition economies.

The LBTC’s Mobile Entrepreneurship Training Program was chosen from more than 100 nominees in the southeast region of the United States in recognition of its substantial contributions toward workforce and economic development.
