Computer Lab & DMC Brochure

The Digital Media Center in located in 1104 Patrick F. Taylor Hall. This lab contains video editing computers with specialized software for creating videos that can be incorporated in Powerpoint presentations, streamed from web sites or burned to a DVD. We also have card readers for downloading pictures and video from digital cameras. Photo editing software is also provided in the lab. The DMC also includes two photo quality scanners and a color laser printer. Use the DMC to help create professional documents and presentations.

Video Editing Computers and Software
Digitial Video Cameras and Tripods Available to Students We have five digital video cameras and tripods that are available for a 24-hour check out period. You can video your movie and capture the video in our Digital Media Center in 1104 Patrick F. Taylor Hall. We provide use of the camera, a charger and a tripod. Students will need to supply their own tape for the video camera. All of our cameras use a MiniDV tape.
Digital Cameras Available to Students Digital cameras are also available for a 24-hour check out period. We have card readers in the Digital Media Center and photo editing software. Add pictures to your Powerpoint presentations and documents to make them more professional and interesting.

Students can check out video equipment from 1106 Patrick F. Taylor Hall for class projects. You must have a current LSU ID and be enrolled in a course that requires use of the equipment.

Funding for the Digital Media Center was provided by the LSU Student Technology Fee Program.

SMART LAB

The SMART Lab is currently open to students in the following courses: FIN 3826, FIN 3910, FIN 7826 and BADM 7090. Their hours of operation are as follows:

LSU DIVISION OF COMPUTING SERVICES LAB

There is also a public access computer lab located in Patrick F. Taylor Hall which is run by LSU's Division of Computing Services. This lab is accessible to all LSU students. It is located in the center of the two courtyards on the first floor of Patrick F. Taylor Hall. Its hours of operation are as follows:
