    Donates $20,406 From Charity Golf Tournament

    The Master of Business Administration Association of Louisiana State University has donated $20,406 to the Charlotte Murray Pace Memorial MBA Scholarship Fund. The proceeds were raised during the 3rd annual MBA Association Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, April 4, 2003 at the LSU Golf Course.

    The tournament consisted of a four-person scramble, with individual competitions at various holes throughout the afternoon. Snacks and beverages were offered during the day with a special awards presentation immediately following the tournament.

    The team that won 1st place gross was team Home Instead Senior Care with players: George Cestia, Donald Dies, David Ditch and Chip Lee. Winning 2nd place gross was team Rainbow with players: Chad Roberts, Lloyd Guillot, Lon Guillot and Gary Dinicola.

    The team that won 1st place net was team Castrol North America with players: Eli Finister, Val Saurage, Dick Moore and Joel VanTimmeren. Winning 2nd place net was team 7X Ranch with players Louis Canik, Bobby Laland, Pete Picou and Orrie Canik.

    In the individual competitions, Eric Cloud won Closest to the Hole and Kevin Baucom won Longest Drive. Following the golf tournament, players and guests celebrated the success of the tournament at a crawfish boil.

    The proceeds from the 2003 MBA Association’s Charity Golf Tournament were donated to the Charlotte Murray Pace Memorial MBA Scholarship Fund. Accepting the check at the awards ceremony were parents of Charlotte Murray Pace, Ann Pace and Casey Pace, of Jackson, Mississippi.

    The scholarship was founded in honor of Charlotte Murray Pace, a classmate and friend who fell victim to the Baton Rouge serial killer. The Charlotte Murray Pace Memorial MBA Scholarship will be awarded to a full-time, second-year master of business administration student at LSU.
