Charlotte Murray Pace Memorial MBA Scholarship receives $20,000 donation from Louisiana Charities Trust

    May 23, 2003

The E. J. Ourso College of Business Administration has received a $20,000 donation from Joseph Crouch on behalf of Louisiana Charities Trust in Alexandria, Louisiana.

MBA students Heather Sturlese and Lynn Lambert accepted the check on behalf of the MBA Class of 2002 from Crouch and his daughter Grace on May 23, 2003.

The donation is a contribution to the endowed Charlotte Murray Pace Memorial MBA Scholarship. This donation brings the total donations to the scholarship to $91,000. Other events held by the MBA class of 2002 and friends of Pace included a reception at the Faculty Club and a 10k run at LSU. The MBA classes of 2003 and 2004 recently donated the proceeds of their third annual MBA Association Golf Tournament held in April to the scholarship.

Charlotte Murray Pace was killed by the South Louisiana serial killer one week after her graduation from LSU’s Flores MBA Program in May of 2002. She had just graduated with her MBA and was to begin her career at Deloitte and Touche, LLP in Atlanta the month after she was murdered.
