The Greater Baton Rouge Association of REALTORS
has named Carlos Slawson the 2003 Commercial Investment
Division (CID) Affiliate Member of the Year. The
award was presented to Slawson at the CID's annual
Awards and Installation Luncheon on January 22,
2004 at the Sherwood Forest Country Club.
Slawson is an associate professor of finance
at LSU’s Ourso College of Business Administration
and has been named the Latter & Blum Distinguished
Professor of Real Estate. He is assistant director
of the Ourso College’s Real Estate Research
Institute.
The CID award is presented annually to an affiliate
member of the CID of the Greater Baton Rouge Association
of REALTORS. Affiliate members such as Slawson
are not realtors, but make outstanding contributions
to the CID and the commercial real estate profession.
The Baton Rouge CID consists of nearly 200 real
estate professionals and is the oldest CID in
the state.
