The E. J. Ourso College of Business at LSU will
host its fall Career Reception on Wednesday, September
21, 2005, at the Lod Cook Alumni Center on LSU’s
campus, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Career Reception, held once a semester, is an
ideal venue for employers of all types to meet
and recruit undergraduate, graduate, and MBA business
students seeking both full-time employment and
intern positions. Approximately 1,000 students
and business representatives, including recruiters
from more than 70 companies, attend each Career
Reception.
“The Career Reception is an excellent time
for recruiters to meet with current students in
a relaxed atmosphere in preparation for LSU's
Career Day the next day. I hope we continue to
see many companies represented,” said Dean
Robert T. Sumichrast.
Future graduates specializing in all areas of
business, including accounting, economics, finance,
marketing, internal auditing, management, information
systems and decision sciences, and MBA students
participate in Career Reception.
The E. J. Ourso College opens the main reception
room of the Lod Cook Alumni Center for students
of all business majors to meet with employers.
An additional room is reserved for students specializing
in internal auditing. Participating companies
can reserve space in one or both of the rooms.
Sponsors of the event include Deloitte, Enterprise
Rent-a-Car, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Protiviti,
The Shaw Group, and Shell.
The registration fee for Career Reception is
$50 per person. The event is reception-style,
so participants should not plan to bring booths.
