During its monthly social held December 13 at Byronz Bistro in Baton Rouge, the LSU Flores MBA Alumni Association gave Flores MBA Program Associate Dean David Crary an early Christmas gift – a check for $10,000. The group’s generous donation will be used to fund international scholarships for full-time MBA students.
After welcoming the guests, Robert Sumichrast, dean of the E. J. Ourso College congratulated the MBA alumni for their role in the recent No. 9 ranking of the MBA program by the Wall Street Journal. This ranking, which was based on the opinions of recruiters who recruit MBAs regionally, reflects 21 evaluated attributes. According to Sumichrast, the success of the MBA program’s graduates was one of those attributes.
More than 30 alums attended the event, a group that earned their MBA degrees from as long ago as 1971 and as recently as this year. They were joined for the evening’s festivities by Kathleen Bosworth, associate director of the Flores MBA Program, and Wendy Luedtke, alumni and external relations director for the E. J. Ourso College.
All LSU MBA alumni are invited to attend the association’s next social, which will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at The Chimes just outside the North Gates of LSU on Highland Road from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Additionally, any alums that would like to receive information about the MBA Alumni Association may do so by e-mailing Luedtke at wendy@lsu.edu or by visiting www.bus.lsu.edu.
