The LSU Flores MBA Alumni Association – Houston Club kicked off their Executive Speaker Series February 27 in Houston. Pat Hewlett, the CIO of ExxonMobil and LSU alumnae, was the keynote speaker.

Veronica Guidry, interim president of the Houston Club, served as emcee. Robert Sumichrast, Dean of the E. J. Ourso College of Business at LSU, welcomed the guests and updated them on LSU, the college and the Flores MBA program.

Dave Steiner, CEO of Waste Management, hosted the event at the Waste Management conference center in downtown Houston. Steiner also welcomed the guests and shared some thoughts on LSU and Waste Management.

In addition, the event allowed attendees to learn about the newly formed Houston Club and served as an opportunity to network with fellow LSU MBA alumni and guests.

Houston Club officers and board members present included Pedro Salinas, Kristie Davis, Lara Carter, Michael Naul, Lucas Banquer, Andrew Brennan, Scott Patterson, Matthew Ardoin and Greg Determann.

Representing the E. J. Ourso College of Business in addition to the dean were Karen Deville, director of the Office of Advancement, Wendy Luedtke, director of Alumni and External Relations and Tim Rodrigue, editor in Alumni and External Relations.
