LSU’s Flores MBA Program continues to be recognized nationally for its excellence, this time by U.S. News & World Report as one of America’s Best Graduate Schools for 2008. The program ranked 55th overall, up 26 spots from last year, and 28th among public institutions listed.
“LSU’s Flores MBA Program continues to achieve national prominence and accelerate the reputation of the E. J. Ourso College as a leader among business schools,” said Robert Sumichrast, dean of the E. J. Ourso College. “This ranking by U.S. News & World Report is validation of our Top 10 position in the Wall Street Journal from last September when the program was ranked No. 9 among schools that draw corporate recruiters regionally. Recognition such as this enhances our ability to attract the best students and top faculty. It also proves we provide our future graduates with the tools necessary to enable their business success.”
In just four years, the Flores MBA Program has risen from a ranking of 109th to No. 55. This year’s mark is a jump up of 26 spots for the program
“We are very pleased with the high rankings the Flores MBA Program continues to earn,” said David Crary, associate dean and director of the Flores MBA Program. “The rankings reflect the increasing quality of the students, the increased resources invested in the program by Dean Sumichrast, and the continuous hard work of the faculty and staff.”

When compared to all other institutions, the program was 38th in undergraduate gpa, 19th in terms of the number of students employed at the time of their graduation, and tied for second in the number of graduates employed three months after graduation.
