The Louisiana Business & Technology Center, an integral part of LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business, is making space available to house more tenants in its incubator program.
“After Hurricane Katrina, we allocated a building and several offices to the dental school and small businesses that had evacuated,” said LBTC Executive Director Charlie D’Agostino. “That caused LBTC to become a virtual incubator and outreach program. Now that the dental school is moving back to New Orleans, we will have offices and workshops for technology companies beginning next month.”
The LBTC works to promote economic growth in the region by aiding small and start-up businesses and by helping to develop and enhance existing ones. In order to do so, the incubator provides its tenants with overhead, network resources, and other assistance. For 19 years now, the LBTC has built a strong reputation for helping small businesses to succeed.
