The Business Residential College, a joint initiative of LSU Residential Life and LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business, opened the doors of its temporary home in West Laville Hall during the week of August 20, 2007.
During move-in week at the BRC, parents helped students move in to their new housing accommodations on campus. Students enjoyed refreshments, received college tee-shirts, and had the chance to get acquainted with their new life as LSU freshmen. Additionally, students had the opportunity to meet fellow classmates, roommates, and professors during the festivities of the move-in week.
The BRC is a living-learning environment that forms a smaller community within the confines of the university and is also a community of the next generation of business leaders. Its temporary home will be vacated next spring when the Residential College Complex opens. The new facility will include amenities such as suite-style rooms, an on-site library and classrooms, wireless Internet, security card access, and other student services.
