BORDERS SECOND SPEAKER IN FALL FLORES MBA DSS AT LSU

September 17, 2007

Sarah R. Borders, partner and head of the Global Finance Practice of King & Spalding, will speak Friday, September 21, 2007 as part of the LSU Flores MBA Program’s Distinguished Speaker Series. The lecture will take place from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in LSU’s Energy, Coast & Environment Building on Nicholson Drive Extension.

King & Spalding, established in 1885, provides high caliber legal counsel to clients in the United States and abroad. Prior to joining King & Spalding, Borders served as a law clerk for Judge Henry A. Politz of the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and, more recently, as debtor’s counsel to numerous corporations, including World Health Alternatives Inc. and Titan Inc.

A resident of Atlanta, Ga., Borders was recognized as one of Georgia’s “Legal Elite” in 2005 and 2006. She graduated from LSU in 1984 with a bachelor’s in business and public administration and earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1988.

Borders is a fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy and has been included in the last several directories of The Best Lawyers in America. Additionally, she has been called upon to speak at various national conferences, including the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges and the Federal Judicial Conference for Bankruptcy Judges.

The Distinguished Speaker Series is an integral part of the Flores MBA Program, the flagship program of LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business. Through the series, students gain insight into new ideas and forces shaping American and international businesses from executives who face a multitude of issues daily.

The series will conclude October 19, 2007 with Ross J. Centanni, chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors for Gardner Denver Inc.

All Flores MBA Distinguished Speaker Series lectures are open to the public. Reservations are required, however, and can be made by calling the Flores MBA office at 225-578-8867. Attire for all DSS speakers is professional.
