Pi Sigma Epsilon’s LSU Chapter will host the Fourth Annual Rock N’ Wear Fashion Show, a rock n’ roll-inspired fashion show featuring some of Baton Rouge’s trendiest boutiques, presented by the Baton Rouge Scion Dealers on Friday. The show will take place Friday, October 26, 2007 at Serrano’s Salsa Company, located just outside of the North Gates of LSU. The rock band, “The Anteeks,” will take the stage at 8 p.m., and the fashion show starts at 9 p.m.
The show will consist of about 50 models displaying clothes from Ted & Daisy’s, Posh Boutique, Frock Candy, Tattle Tales, Vertigo, Merci Beaucoup, and Sweet Pea & Tulips.
A design competition will take place during the show’s intermission featuring 12 designers from Hemline, a fashion design organization at LSU. Each designer will present one piece on the runway. Designers will be judged according to style, creativity, usage of the night’s jungle theme, and other criteria.
At the conclusion of the show, Rock N Wear’s “Top Model” will be named for promoting the highest guest turnout. Awards will also be given in other categories, including “Top Designer” and “Fan’s Favorite Designer.”
Rock N’ Wear sponsors include Planet Beach, Copies Too, Lydie Ruth, Aveda, Clear Channel, and Raising Cane’s.
Tickets can be purchased during Oct. 22-26 in Free Speech Alley or in Patrick F. Taylor Hall on LSU’s campus. Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door.
