Ye Sho Chen, director of the LSU Modern Chinese Business & Culture Initiative and professor in the Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences at LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business, was recently invited to speak to a Multinational Management class at LSU-Alexandria.
Chen’s lecture included a discussion of issues related to the Chinese business environment. He received his Ph.D. from Purdue University and has been employed by LSU since 1985. Chen’s research interests include global e-business, international franchising, and strategic information systems, while his teaching interests include data management, data warehousing, and knowledge management.
The Modern Chinese Business & Culture Initiative allows highly qualified undergraduate and Flores MBA Program students the opportunity to complete courses related to China at the Baton Rouge campus and experience China through travel abroad. Language immersion, studying at Chinese universities and international work experience are all aspects that students can take advantage of as part of the initiative.
