SDMI ADMINISTRATOR WINS BOOK AWARD

The Herbert A. Simon Best Book Award, a distinction recognizing superior literature in the field of public administration, was awarded last August to Arjen Boin. Boin is the director of LSU’s Stephenson Disaster Management Institute, an integral part of the E. J. Ourso College of Business.
           
The award, an annual honor granted by the American Society for Public Administration, is reserved for contemporary publications that merit exceptional attention and praise for their procedural insight and professional impact. The book is entitled The Politics of Crisis Management: Public Leadership under Pressure and was co-written by a trio of Boin’s colleagues.
