LSU’s Center for Internal Auditing, an integral part of the E. J. Ourso College of Business, has received a grant totaling $105,000 to enhance and further develop its audit program. The grant money will be distributed in increments of $35,000 over the next three years by the Board of the Internal Auditing Academic Advancement Fund.
The IAAAF Board agreed to provide the grant money in response to a proposal submitted by the LSUCIA targeted at strengthening its Internal Audit Education Partnership program, which represents the university’s dedication to the audit profession and a commitment to providing internal audit education.
LSU was approved by the Institute of Internal Auditors in 1985 as a pilot school to develop an innovative educational program in internal auditing. Currently, the LSUCIA is a center in the Institute’s IAEP program, and its internal audit program is a multidisciplinary program with students from over 30 different business and non-business majors.
