Rudy Hirschheim, a professor in the Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences at LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business, has been named a fellow by the Association for Information Systems.
This is a distinguished honor for Hirschheim and the E. J. Ourso College, as only 44 people in the world have been named AIS Fellows. Additionally, the organization constitutes over 4,000 members globally.
The AIS Fellow Award was established in 1999 by the Council of the Association for Information Systems and the Executive Committee of the International Conference on Information Systems.
The award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Information Systems discipline in terms of research, teaching and service. AIS Fellows are expected to be role models and inspirations to colleagues and students within the discipline and exhibit the highest levels of personal and professional integrity.
