Wei Li, Bulent Unel and George Wilson, assistant professors in LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business, have been awarded university summer stipends by the Council on Research Summer Stipend Program.
The CoR Summer Stipend Program provides $5,000 in financial support to junior researchers at the rank of assistant professor seeking to contribute to scholarly knowledge in their discipline.
Li, an assistant professor in the Department of Finance, received his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in 2006. Employed by LSU since August 2006, his primary research interest is asset pricing.
Unel, an assistant professor in the Department of Economics, received his Ph.D. from Brown University in 2004. An employee of LSU since August 2006, his research interests include international trade, economic development and growth, Asian economies and welfare economics.
Wilson, an assistant professor in the Department of Accounting, received his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in 2006. An employee of LSU since August 2006, his research interests include earnings management, effects of accounting regulations and accounting ethics.
