ECONOMICS PROFESSOR TO SPEAK TO CFA SOCIETY OF NEW ORLEANS

March 14, 2008

Dek Terrell, a professor of economics in LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business, will serve as a panel speaker for a market forecast luncheon hosted by the Chartered Financial Analysts Society of New Orleans at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Bourbon House Seafood and Oyster Bar. Bourbon House Seafood and Oyster Bar is located at 114 Bourbon Street.

Terrell received a bachelor’s from Millsaps College in 1986, a master’s from Duke University in 1988 and a Ph.D. from Duke University in 1991. Additionally, he serves as director of the Division of Economic Development and Forecasting in the E. J. Ourso College.

The CFA Society of New Orleans, a not-for-profit educational organization, promotes awareness and understanding of securities analysis, investing and the operation of securities markets. CFA Society of New Orleans’ members are recognized as ethical, knowledgeable members of the investment decision-making community. The organization’s mission is to educate and inform investment decision-makers, promote ethical standards in the industry and assist financial professionals in career development.
