BusinessWeek has ranked LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business in its Top 50 public undergraduate business schools in the country once again, solidifying the already prestigious placement the school has enjoyed over the past few years. The
E. J. Ourso College ranked ninetieth overall and No. 47 among public business schools.
In addition to its overall rankings, the E. J. Ourso College placed in the Top 10 of all ranked public institutions in the categories of faculty to student ratio and mean ACT scores of students.
BusinessWeek online highlighted the college’s Center for Internal Auditing, renowned worldwide for its excellence, in an accompanying slideshow. LSUCIA Director Glenn Sumners noted that demand is high for those with a background in internal auditing and that BusinessWeek’s inclusion of the center speaks to the quality of the program’s graduates.
“The internal audit job market is outstanding,” Sumners said. “Students have a competitive advantage when they enter programs that instill such marketable skills.”
Another impressive statistical aspect of the E. J. Ourso College’s ranking was its return on investment. The college’s return on investment was comparable to that of those institutions ranked in the top five for this category. Only the Top 50 institutions overall in the BusinessWeek rankings qualified for ranking in this category.
