Three faculty members of LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business will be honored with the Tiger Athletic Foundation Undergraduate Teaching Award at the LSU Distinguished Faculty Reception to be held May 6, 2008. The three winners are Barbara Danos, Judith Ann Garretson Folse and Doug McMillin.
Danos, an instructor in the Department of Finance, teaches business law, negotiations and ethics and actively researches employment law and tax practices. She has previously received the TAF Outstanding Teaching Award and the Flores MBA Program Outstanding Teacher Award. Danos has been employed by LSU since 1996.
Folse, an associate professor in the Department of Marketing, specializes in promotional strategy, consumer behavior and experimental methods. Her research interests include spokescharacter effects, cause related marketing, public policy and consumer welfare and sales promotion. She has previously been honored with the TAF Undergraduate Teaching Award, the Award for Teaching Excellence for Untenured Faculty and two LSU Summer Research Grants. Folse has been employed by LSU since 2000.
McMillin, a professor in the Department of Economics, teaches courses on topics ranging from aggregate analysis to monetary policy. He is the co-editor of the Journal of Macroeconomics and is a three-time winner of the Excellence in Teaching Award given by the department. McMillin has been employed by LSU since 1983.
