Charles D’Agostino, executive director of the Louisiana Business & Technology Center, will continue his work on the state legislature’s Small Business Entrepreneurship Commission. D’Agostino has served on the commission since its formation in 2006 and was reappointed by Governor Bobby Jindal following his election last November.
“It’s an exceptional honor to be a part of something so rewarding,” D’Agostino said. “Knowing that we can be so actively involved in improving the environment of local enterprises and in furthering the posture of Louisiana at a governmental level gives me great pride. Last year we enhanced the Mentor/Protégé program and made great strides in increasing the state’s contractor bonding assistance program.”
The Louisiana Business & Technology Center, an integral part of LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business’ Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute, endeavors to enhance economic development in Louisiana through the support of existing small businesses and the development of new businesses. Established in 1988, the LBTC’s highly successful business incubator program has been honored as the National Business Incubator Association’s Incubator of the Year.
