BATON ROUGE – Rolfe McCollister, publisher and chief executive officer of The Greater Baton Rouge Business Report, will deliver the keynote speech at the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business Diploma Ceremony. The ceremony is scheduled to be held Friday, May 21, 2010, in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

“We are fortunate to have Rolfe agree to speak to our faculty, students and guests,” said LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business Dean Eli Jones. “He is in an industry that demands understanding change, and he is qualified to speak to graduates about how to apply the acumen of change to their lives, regardless of the business they are a part of after graduation.”

Shortly after earning his degree from LSU in 1978, McCollister founded Louisiana Business Inc. His entrepreneurial spirit has grown the business from two full-time employees and sales of $350,000 to more than 60 full-time employees and total annual revenue that exceeds $9 million. In addition to publishing The Greater Baton Rouge Business Report, Louisiana Business Inc. also publishes 225 magazine, 10/12 magazine, InRegister, the Daily Report online and produces the BizTech Expo.

McCollister is a member of the E. J. Ourso College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council and serves on its Marketing and Public Relations Committee. Additionally, he has appeared in LSU Executive Education’s Breakfast to Business series and at Louisiana Looking Up.
