MONTREAL, Canada – LSU Rucks Department of Management Co-Chair Hettie Richardson has received the 2009 Organizational Research Methods Editorial Review Board Best Publication of the Year Award. Richardson co-authored the paper with Marcia J. Simmering of Louisiana Tech University and Michael C. Sturman of Cornell University.

Richardson’s paper, “A Tale of Three Perspectives: Examining Post Hoc Statistical Techniques for Detection and Correction of Common Method Variance,” appeared in Organizational Research Methods. The article evaluates three post hoc strategies and the strategy of doing nothing within three sets of assumptions about common method variance: that CMV does not exist, that CMV exists and has equal effects across constructs and that CMV exists and has unequal effects across constructs.

The 2010 Academy of Management Annual Meeting was held August 6-10, 2010. A total of 7,231 total submissions were organized into 1,801 sessions and more than 8,000 program participants representing close to 80 countries attended.
