    LSU FLORES MBAAA CHAPTER TO HOST ANNUAL SPRING TRAINING EVENT

    March 4, 2011

    BATON ROUGE – The LSU Flores MBA Alumni Association-Louisiana Chapter will host its annual Spring Training Event, Thursday, March 24, 2011, from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the LSU Faculty Club.

    This year’s event will feature a presentation titled “Business Intelligence/Business Analytics at LSU,” which will be delivered by Department of Information Systems & Decision Sciences Associate Professor James Van Scotter and Instructor Joni Nunnery Shreve. Van Scotter serves as the master’s advisor for the ISDS department. His research interests include the benefits of e-commerce. Nunnery Shreve specializes in using technology for enhanced learning.

    A reception will be held during the event, which will include hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. The cost of the event for LSU Flores MBAAA members is $10, and the cost for non-members is $25. LSU Flores MBA students can attend the event at a cost of $10. Payment by credit card can be made in advance online at www.bus.lsu.edu/rsvp. Cash and check payments will be accepted at the door the day of the event. Checks may also be sent in advance, made payable to the LSU Flores MBAAA to:

    There is no set attire for the Spring Training Event.

    The LSU Flores MBA Alumni Association-Louisiana Chapter provides a forum for LSU Flores MBA graduates to network, stay in touch with classmates and continue their business education through meaningful events. The LSU Flores MBA Association is a graduate-level student organization designed to enhance the MBA experience. Since its inception, the LSU Flores MBAA has served as an effective conduit between students, the community and business leaders from around the globe.
