The E. J. Ourso College of Business awarded
more than $17,000 in scholarships to top accounting students
The accounting department at LSU’s E. J. Ourso
College of Business Administration hosted its annual
scholarship
reception and banquet on April 27, 2004 at Boudreaux's.
Over 150 students and faculty attended.
Accounting instructor Laura Delaune was chair of the
event. Interim accounting department chair, K. E. "Skip"
Hughes, presided at the banquet. Dean Robert T. Sumichrast
welcomed guests and congratulated the students on their
outstanding achievement.
Special guests for the evening included Grady Hazel,
executive director of the Louisiana Society of CPAs,
and Homer and Elizabeth Pittman, donors of the Dr. George
W. Fair Memorial Accounting Professorship.
